Watch a boat built in four days

Boat builder John Rowse will build a 10ft. rowing skiff out of cedar planking and oak framing while using traditional wood boat building techniques.

John uses boat building in his daily teaching curriculum to teach students the ability to think three dimensionally.

John will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

From the actual help station test your skill and steer the 4 ft. twin engine, remote controlled sport fisherman down the 20 ft. tank to the marina. As the boat pass through the channel markers toward the marina an electronic sensor will start the timing clock.
